There
are situations which demands manual GPRS settings to be done in the
mobile phones as sometime settings are not delivered instantly to the
user, also sometimes user mobile doesn’t support the automatic settings
and now days mobile operator starts charging for the conversation, so I
decided to provide all the details necessary to install manual settings
in mobile as well as in PC/Laptop.
For Connecting your mobile to PC/Laptop you need : -

1. Dial up Number like - *99***1# or *99#

· 2. Extra-initialization command(sometimes needed)- AT+CGDCONT=1, “xyz”,…..
· 3. .Proper setting selection in mobile (like mobile office, pocket internet etc.)
· 4. Access Point Name (APN) (sometimes needed in case you are using pc suite)

I also observed that some times irrespective of right settings in mobile we are unable to access the GPRS, in that kind of situation request your operator to send the required settings.
